This position is based in Boston, remote will be considered.

What you will be doing:
You are a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building SaaS products that uncovers real-world insights hidden in data.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative and energetic environment with the Engineering, QA and Data Science teams, and deliver across our system from backend services to APIs and UI screens.
Your responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining core capabilities across the platform.

Required skills:

  • 5+ years work experience in software development
  • Advanced Experience in Python (5+), with additional Javascript experience (1-3)
  • Experience writing SQL, and data modeling (Postgres, MySQL)
  • Experience designing data services and APIs (REST)
  • 3+ years working and delivering with AWS services
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field or equivalent professional experience


Desired skills:

  • Experience with frameworks like Django and/or React
  • Experience with AWS services and technologies specifically EMR, Spark, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS
  • Programming using big data processing tools like Spark and other scientific computation libraries (such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Data quality, performance analysis and measurement
